Convention time

This place is huge!
There are 2000 nursing students here to learn new things.
I am teaching the kids the service dog rules. No petting when I'm in uniform.
I am getting very good at controlled greetings
and just sitting nicely as Mom introduces them to me.
I even ignore them when they talk baby talk to me. Mom is very proud!

They have some scary things here.
Glass elevators and grates in the cement.
They have a nice living room here where we can relax with soft music.
Mom takes my cape off so I can get some pets from my new friends.
I still have to be a polite girl, even when I'm off duty.

I have to learn how to break on the cement. It is icky but I'm getting the hang of it.
Don't they have grass here? This seems a little like school to me too.

Going to Pittsburgh

I got on one of those plane things again. Then a bus and a van.
We're going to Pittsburgh.
We got settled in the room.
I practiced my under.
Checked out my pop up crate.
We met Miss Grace and went to her rehab hospital. We talked to therapists, patients and families. We told them all about service dogs and how they help people.
We told them they could raise a puppy just like me.
I met many nice people. There was one nice young man that had a head injury. He couldn't talk but screamed with delight when he saw me. I got up next to his chair and let him pet me. I even gave him a little smooch. He screamed and laughed.
It was a special day.

Counting down

I'm finishing up reading month with an assembly.
I wanted to play with the stuffed puppies on the stage.
I have a black one at home that looks like these.
I really wanted to play with that real baby puppy Boz.
Mom says I'll get my own puppy real soon.
Some other kids also donated gifts for college and home made dog treats.
It was tough to LEAVE IT.
I showed the babies how it was done.

They were hitting a flat ball around with sticksWe sang O Canada.
I am getting tall
I liked to watch the flat ball go back & forth
I am now a hockey fan
They even had people in sleds doing the same thing
This was a good day

11 months already

The count down has begun.
My college papers are in. In about 7 weeks I move on for bigger & better things. Now I am just strengthening my tasks I've learned since coming home. Spring has come early to Michigan. March is reading month. I've been visiting schools. The kids read me wonderful stories! I am tall and lean right now, a young lady. I still act like a puppy most of the time.
Mom can see my potential coming through that goofy behavior.
As the weather heats up I have renewed my friendship with the A/C vents.
I love cool air!

Rochester Fire & Ice festival

I went with my school friends on a field trip. We met at the library and went for a walk.
There were big ice cookies all over town. Everyone stopped to look at them. I couldn't help myself. I just needed a taste. I tried to be sneaky but I got caught!
I am a teenager for sure.

9 months of fun

This month not too many pictures. Mom was really busy. After we went to Texas, Mom went on on big plane again to a place called Florida. I got to go visit Miss Liz, Sirius and Luna. I had a very good time there.
When Mom came home she smelled like salt water and 9 different dogs. I was jealous.I still have a problem staying off the counters. I wait till no one is watching! I really like to steal this heavy piggy bank and Mom's phone.
This is my Choo-bee. one of my favorite toys. mom says Good Girl when I chew on this.
Someone had their chin in the butter. wasn't me. Must have been Aussie.
